"Alex!" Dib yelled.
The two of them were completely disheveled, Dib's jacket had been torn, his glasses were cracked, his hair was bent out of shape, and even his trademark shirt had been ripped apart.
Alexandria's goggles had been thrown off, her hair was a tangled mess, the back if her shirt had been torn open, one of her boots was missing, and she had three long scratches down her chest.
A growl came from the dark forest behind them, no...not a growl, a roar, a ferocious, blood-curdling, heart-stopping cry that only something truly terrifying could create.
Alexandria had fallen, she had lost so much blood already.
"No! Alex, come on! Get up!" Dib shouted, pulling the teenager to her feet.
Alexandria made no motion, she was limp as a rag doll.
"Please, Alex, you have to be okay! I can't survive this alone!" Dib said, tears coming to his eyes.
Alexandria gasped, and her eyes opened wide.
Dib was overjoyed...For a brief moment anyway, the creature was closing in, he could hear it's call, louder this time.
"What are you standing here for?! Come on!" Alexandria yelled, grabbing his wrist and taking off at top speed.
Dib was barley able to keep up with his friend.
"Alex! How do you do this every day?!" Dib yelled, trying hard to keep close to the monster hunter.
"I don't know!" She called, jumping over a root of a tree.
"How did you talk me into this?!"
"Hey, you're the one who wanted to experience my way of life!" Alexandria called.
"Well, it certainly gets the adrenaline pumping!" Dib yelled, tripping over a stone.
"Dib!" Alexandria yelled, grabbing his arm and pulling him back up.
"Thanks! My god...How did we even get into this mess?!"
"I think we-"
Before Alexandria could answer, her eyes rolled back into her head, and she fell once again.
The call of the beast, closed in upon them...
